Robotika ir anglų kalba? Devintokai pažino inžineriją integruodami užsienio kalbos įgūdžius
2022 01 21Sausio 13 dieną Vilniaus technologijų mokymo centro (VTMC) IG klasės mokiniai lankėsi Energetikos ir mechatronikos skyriuje, Energetikos sektoriniame mokymo centre, kur iš arčiau pažino inžinerijos sritį.
Šio praktinio užsiėmimo „Inžinerija linksmai” tikslas buvo iš arčiau susipažinti su robotikos mokslu. Profesijos mokytojas metodininkas Vaclav Zelenkevič mokinius supažindino su miniatiūriniu robotuku „Ozobot“, paaiškino kaip jis veikia, kaip atpažįsta judėjimo kryptis pagal spalvinius kodus. Gimnazistai patys išbandė įvairius maršrutus pagal duotus spalvinius kodus, lenktyniavo bei turėjo sukurti savo istoriją. Reikia pripažinti nebuvo lengva, kadangi visos užduotys buvo anglų kalba. Tad gimnazistai turėjo integruoti robotikos mokslą panaudojant savo užsienio kalbinius įgūdžius.
Pabaigoje laukė netikėtumas, nes mokiniai gavo dar ir paskutinę užduotį, surasti patalpoje pasislėpusį robotą. Užduotis suintrigavo ir gimnazistai puolė ieškoti visoje patalpoje pasislėpusio objekto. Po ilgų objekto paieškų patalpoje galiausiai technologijų dėka pavyko robotą pastebėti. Mokiniams patiko ši nauja pažintis su nauju mokslu ir jie turi vilčių, jog su mažaisiais robotukais susitiks pamokų metu ateityje.

Last week on Thursday I and my class visited our school's IT department and more specifically we were there to learn about robots. So, we met up with this teacher from there who teaches about robots, and well he basically explained what a robot is and what it’s supposed to do. As well, he gave all of us this tiny little car robot that scans what’s below him and can execute commands based on the color pattern. With this robot we got to make races even a little tiny story for it to go around a piece of paper and just dance around with him, he was SUPER small. After all of that, we learned how to find a robot if we don’t know where it is and we got to use this cool program that basically let us control this robot that, honestly, just looked like a Roomba with a camera. And that’s basically it we just had fun a bit with the Roomba robot and all of us went home after that.

On Thursday we visited our school's IT department. There we learned some cool things about robots, even got to control them.
First, we learned about a robot named "Ozobot". It was small, round. Apparently, he executes commands based on the color code he's given. We even got the chance to program the robot the way we wanted by drawing lines, made out of different colors.
It was already going great but then it got even better - we were given a quest - to find a robot that was hidden somewhere in our class. It wasn't an easy task but we did find the robot. It turned out to be big and it had lots of mechanisms. The best part was - we got to play with it Our adventure that day was great. We really hope to visit that place again.
